Joannie Laroche  |

Graphic Designer / Illustrator

My aim is to tell stories in the most eloquent way possible, whether that is in my work as a Graphic Designer or Illustrator. I strive to explore and better my skills as an artist and leader each day, hoping to create a positive and creative space for my team to create the best work we can. Working out the best way to approach and showcase a project through story and art is my absolute favourite thing - exploring art styles and references in the world around us, and how we can take this inspiration to create our own unique end product. My work focuses on poetic, whimsical storytelling and atmosphere in environment art, setting the stage for any production.

I was trained in Graphic design at University, learning every part of the pipeline from drawings, text layouts, logo creation, poster creation, typo skills, to packaging and illustrations.

I have now worked in both Graphic Design and Illustration pipelines and have a good knowledge of a lot of graphic design and illustration software allowing me to communicate well with all members of the pipeline, and understand their jobs and methods. Below are programmes I still use today!

Programmes: Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro, Procreate, InDesign, Illustrator.

Tools : iPad Pro 2020, Apple Pencil 2nd generation, MacBook Pro 2018.
